Shootings and killings. I'm pretty sure the guy in South Carolina who

was shot in the back while running away wasn't shot because of the number of guns in the US. The cop that played the sick game of "simon says" before shooting the guy laying flat on the ground for his failure to comply with mutually exclusive commands MAY have been shot because of the number of guns in the US, but a poorly trained, overly skittish cop was also a major contributor. George Floyd wasn't killed because of the number of guns in the US. Our stats for police killings are so far out of whack with the rest of the developed world, that I don't think it can be simply dismissed as "well, we have more guns than them"... while recognizing that certainly is a major factor and like the primary reason.
